Virginia’s Centers for Independent Living
Centers for Independent Living (CILs) are places of action and coalition run by and for people with disabilities, their families, friends, and advocates. They are places where people with disabilities can develop leadership skills and increase empowerment so that they can live and work independently in the communities of their choice. CILs are also places where the greater community can learn about how to support independence and accessibility.
